Rules and Regulations
The Global Music Excellence Awards is open to musicians of all nationalities, ages, instruments, and skill levels.
Competition Format
Format: Online. All applicants will be evaluated based on video submissions.
Competition Dates
- Application Period: August 31 - December 31, 2026
- Application Deadline: December 31, 2026
- Results Announcement: January 31, 2027 (published on our website)
Divisions
- Instrumental Division
- Vocal Division
- Composition Division
Categories
- Young Artist Category: Applicants are required to submit two performance videos.
- Professional Category: Applicants are required to submit four performance videos.
Additional Information
- Applicants applying for more than one division must submit separate applications and pay the required fee for each division.
- Participants in all age groups and divisions may compete in both solo and ensemble categories.
- Applicants may choose to apply for both the Young Artist Category and the Professional Category.

Repertoire Requirements
- Participants may perform self-selected repertoire from any composer and any genre.
- There is no time limit for the performance.
- Memorization is required for the solo division only.
- One movement from a large-scale work (e.g., a sonata) will be considered one piece.
Awards
- 90-100: First Prize. A score of 100/100 will be awarded First Absolute Prize.
- 80-89: Second Prize
- 70-79: Third Prize
General Rules
- The judges' decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
- Comments and individual scores will not be provided.
- A panel of judges will evaluate submitted video recordings, and all final decisions will be based solely on these recordings.
- The Global Music Excellence Awards reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any applicant who:
- Violates the Competition Rules or policies.
- Tampers with (or attempts to tamper with) the application process or competition operation.
- Violates terms of service or general guidelines.
- Acts in an unsportsmanlike, disruptive, abusive, or harassing manner.
Video Requirements
- Pieces may be recorded separately or in a single take.
- The total duration must include pauses between pieces.
- High-quality video recording is strongly recommended.
- The camera must remain stationary, and the performer's face and hands must be clearly visible at all times.
- There is no minimum or maximum time limit for submissions.
- Videos must be uploaded via Google Drive, YouTube, or Youku.
- All submitted videos must be recorded within the past 12 months.
